Stand Assembly is an artist’s studio collective. Since 2004, the group has made a diverse and active contribution to the local, regional and national art scenes, instrumental in forging the current thriving studio scene that exists in Nottingham.
The studio collective has acted as a breeding ground for some of the foremost artist-led projects and collaborative ventures in Nottingham including Moot, Ayling & Conroy (the collabortive duo responsible for My House Gallery and Projects) and Annexinema.
Stand Assembly have recently moved into a new warehouse space in Nottingham next to BioCity and are working with Moot to establish a new working studio complex, One Thoresby Street. Alongside 16 new studio spaces and Moot, One Thoresby Street is the new home to The Reading Room, Trade Gallery and Keep Floors and Passages Clear.
A new project space in the building's large attic will be in operation from 20th February 2010 and aims to host a diverse and eclectic range of events, happenings, exhibitions and residencies. Please see One Thoresby Street website for current events.
